Day 16 - Prayer for Leaders

Church leadership is not a platform for power but a posture of servanthood. In Matthew 20:26–28, Jesus redefines greatness by pointing us away from status and toward sacrifice, reminding us that true leaders become servants and even slaves for the sake of others. As Riverstone’s leaders, when we gather in prayer and ministry we lay down titles, preferences, and agendas, choosing instead to carry the burdens of the people God has entrusted to us. In leading, we lead best not by being seen, but by humbly aligning our hearts with Christ, who served us first and gave His life so that others might live.
