Simplified Class descriptions
Hermeneutics:
This course explores the art and discipline of hermeneutics (the interpretation and proclamation of Scripture) with a focus on preaching and long-term spiritual leadership. Students will learn how to craft and deliver sermons that faithfully communicate the Word of God, feeding and guiding a congregation over time. Emphasis will be placed on Spirit-filled, exegetical sermon construction, helping students develop messages that are both biblically grounded and pastorally effective. Through practical exercises and theological reflection, participants will grow in their ability to interpret Scripture and lead God’s people through consistent, transformative preaching.
Biblical Counseling:
This course provides a biblically grounded and Spirit-led approach to counseling, focusing on the art of listening, discernment, and Christ-centered care for others. Students will learn to minister with compassion and wisdom, developing the ability to sense the leading of the Holy Spirit in counseling situations. Emphasis will be placed on cultivating an other-focused posture, understanding the roots of sin, and addressing issues such as strongholds, habitual sin, and emotional struggles through biblical truth and grace. By integrating Scripture, prayer, and Spirit-led discernment, students will be equipped to guide others toward freedom, healing, and lasting transformation in Christ.
The Servant Leader:
This course focuses on the heart and practice of servant leadership, modeling leadership after the example of Jesus. Students will learn how to lead with humility, integrity, and spiritual maturity, beginning with their personal life and discipleship. Emphasis will be placed on leading through service, cultivating discipline and worship in daily life, and guiding one’s family and community in faith. Through biblical study, practical training, and reflection on Christ’s example, students will develop the character and skills needed to serve others effectively while leading with love and purpose.
