When David wrote about how good and pleasant it is for God's people to dwell together in unity (Psalm 133:1), he was referring specifically to unity centered in YHWH. This unity is not based on shared similarities, backgrounds, or life experiences, but on our common glorification and worship of the one true God. When the church lives in such unity, YHWH commands His blessing upon His people.
