Day 7 - Revival

Written by Jadah Temple

“The word revive . . . may be interpreted thus—to live again, to receive again a life which has almost expired; to rekindle into a flame the vital spark which was nearly extinguished.” — C. H. Spurgeon

Repentance comes before revival. The new life and vital spark that Spurgeon refers to comes only after our sincere repentance. First on our end, then on behalf of our people. Just like Daniel; he understood the time he was in and repented of his sins and the sins of his own people, he fasted and prayed with an honest heart before God. That’s how the spark is kindled into a flame! May we as individuals and as the body of Christ have the courage, the humility, and the love for God that overcomes our selfish ways, to repent, to fast, and to pray earnestly for revival.
