Day 10 - Emptying Ourselves to Have the Mind of Christ

Written by Sophia McCready

Philippians 2:2–8 tells us that Jesus, though in the form of God, didn’t cling to status but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant. I like to think I understand humility, but I cling to my opinions, comfort, and schedules more than I realize. Having the mind of Christ takes on the form of complete surrender and letting go of my own agendas so His love can flow through me. God, let our thoughts, words, and actions reflect Your humility, seeing others as You see them, serving because You first loved us. We have nothing apart from You, Jesus, and that’s exactly how it’s meant to be. Let our minds be Yours.
