The Baton has Been Passed to You
When we first come to Christ, we don’t arrive at the finish line—we step onto a lifelong journey. A journey of learning who God is, discovering His ways, and discerning His will for our lives. As we walk with Him, we learn to recognize His voice, to understand how He moves, and to respond in obedience. Throughout Scripture, this kind of growth almost always happens in community, as God forms His people together rather than in isolation.
Biblical training is not merely about gaining information; it is about formation. It is about allowing the Word of God to shape our hearts, renew our minds, and align our lives with the purposes of Jesus. That is the heart behind the RiverStone School of Ministry. RSM exists to cultivate both deep biblical understanding and personal spiritual formation within an intergenerational, richly gifted community of believers. We believe God speaks powerfully when His people gather around His Word with open hearts and expectant faith.
Our approach is intentionally both structured and Spirit-led. Yes, we will study the Scriptures—learning the stories, events, and people through whom God revealed Himself. But we believe biblical training should also be transformational. As we study God’s Word, we expect to encounter Jesus Himself. We make room to listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit, to grow in discernment, and to be shaped into men and women who know how to walk closely with God in everyday life.
“That baton has now been passed for over 2,000 years—and it rests in our hands today.”
Jesus Himself modeled this kind of intentional formation. Over the course of three years, He poured into His disciples—teaching them, correcting them, walking with them, and inviting them into ministry. They were changed by being with Him. After His ascension, Jesus empowered them through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and those once-unlikely followers became bold disciple-makers. They carried the gospel to the ends of the earth and entrusted the mission to the next generation of leaders.
That baton has now been passed for over 2,000 years—and it rests in our hands today. The RiverStone School of Ministry is one way we seek to be faithful in our generation, preparing and equipping believers to carry the mission of Jesus forward. It is about raising up faithful leaders who will love Jesus deeply, hear His voice clearly, and courageously serve His purposes in the world.
If your heart is stirred for more—more depth, more clarity, more obedience—this journey may be for you. We invite you to join us as we grow together, encounter Jesus, and prepare to carry the baton into the days ahead.
